Summary and Learning Objectives

Summary

Resilience and flourishing are essential aims for individuals seeking to grow beyond the challenges, stressors, and life circumstances that keep them feeling stuck. This presentation introduces a range of simple, unsuspecting, innate, invisible and powerful tools that every person carries within themselves. Grounded in whole-person care and supported by emerging research, these tools can ignite hope, regulate distress, and activate the body’s natural healing responses. Through demonstration and guided practice, psychologists, licensed mental health professionals, medical personnel, and ministry leaders will learn how these tools foster physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being. This session is designed for participants who desire practical, strengths-based strategies for inspiring resilience and facilitating meaningful change. Attendees will leave equipped to integrate these whole-person practices into their professional roles to cultivate renewed hope and sustainable flourishing in themselves and those they serve.

Learning Objectives

Outline the theoretical and research-based foundations for using innate whole-person tools, including their relevance to human flourishing and their physiological and emotional impact.

Identify and utilize a variety of accessible, non-intrusive tools that support grounding, resilience and flourishing when walking with individuals through stress, trauma, or challenging life seasons.

Demonstrate experiential techniques that reduce distress and increase hope, motivation, and whole-person resilience, and describe how these practices can be effectively integrated into professional or educational settings.
