Summary
This faith centered workshop on marriage is based on scriptural steps, such as, Ephesians 5:25, and other biblical references that reflects the importance of building a marriage that focuses on helping clients build intimacy of God and each other. Coaches and ministry leaders will focus on topics such as joy, humor, brokenness, reconciliation and redemption of vows to each other. These enhance the couple’s spiritual journey together. Utilizing examples, participants will explore how other marriages, marital questions, and resources are helpful in creating biblical steps to increase marital satisfaction and creating a beneficial marriage for both partners, which include “leaving and cleaving,” boundaries, the differences between men and women, and commitment to the marriage no matter circumstances or feelings. Furthermore, participants will learn the importance of leaving a legacy of a good marriage to children. Participants will be able to describe various ways to have a “Christ-like” marriage in various stages of life that couples go through.
